Blue Cheese Bacon Burgers

Added by: on Sep 11th, 2014
Blue cheese, bacon & beef are one of my favorite burger combinations ever. What I like most about this burger is there is both blue cheese & bacon mixed into the burger itself as well as melted on top of the burger! I prefer to use crumbled blue cheese, available in almost all cheese .. more >

Directions:

1

Rinse & dry the ground chuck. Add the Burger Starter, blue cheese & bacon. Mix everything together well. Form 6-8 burgers, depending on the size you desire.

2

Preheat your grill. While the grill is heating, slice the saga blue or cambozola about a ½-inch thick. When ready, grill your burgers on one side, then flip, making sure to turn only once. About a minute before the burgers are done, add the saga blue or cambozola & allow to melt onto the burgers slightly. Remove.

3

This is how I like to serve the burgers......heat your rolls on the grill or in your oven for just a couple of minutes. Spread a teaspoon or so of the mustard, then build your burger according to how you like it. I am a ketchup girl myself. Emilie likes extra bacon......so does Bert. Serve & enjoy!

As I have mentioned in my blog previously, my daughter Arabella's favourite dish is carbonara - she would eat it every week if she could. I really like it but it's not my favourite. However I saw this recipe of carbonara with blue cheese in the Sunday Times magazine and I thought it had my name all over it!! It is a Jamie Oliver recipe and he does suggest adding pears to it which I left ..
